Jason Perry Design

About Me

I am Jason Perry, sole proprietor of Jason Perry Design. I am a native of Peru, New York. I graduated from Peru Central School in 1991 and in 1995 earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I spent three and a half years designing connectors and equipment for the cable telecommunications industry in central New York, then moved to the Chesapeake Bay area to design and build manufacturing equipment for aerospace electronic components.

After a total of 6 years in industry I decided that I'd had enough of fluorescent lights and windowless offices; I called it quits at the end of 2001, stored all my stuff, grabbed a backpack and hopped on a train around the country. Since then I have lived on a farm in Wisconsin, worked in a ghost town in New Mexico, built a straw-bale house in the Catskills, and worked at the 2004 Natural Building Colloquium—East.

Now I am starting fresh in Honeoye Falls, New York.
